BIO

Vadim Turlapov graduated from the Radiophysics Department of the UNN at 1971. He joined UNN in the Chair of Mathematics software in 2002. Until 2002, he worked in the field of applied geometry, theory of mechanisms and CAD/CAE (as a research scientist at Research institute for Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics and as an associated professor at Nizhniy Novgorod State Technical University after R.E.Alekseev). Obtained a number of fundamental results: 1) formalized relationship of the structural formula of the spatial linkage with the algorithm of the calculation of its kinematics and built the "perfect" classification of spatial linkage (1987), 2) proposed the idea of constructing a "geometric co- processor for the computer”, and transformed core operations of projective geometry into a set of instructions of the geometric co-processor (1991-1993). Based on these results, the Doctor of Technical Sciences habilitation dissertation was defended (2002).
